Vignette

Happiness squirrels around the midnight blue:
The starry sky fathoms beneath,
Caressing the waves of Cynthia's tresses,
Bathing in the foam of love's splendour.
Oh! What ecstasy it feels,
To drink from the bower of hues,
Soar bright and blithe,
Similing the falcon of fantasies!
Turnstiles of primroses bloom,
Cuddling the love-lit night's feathers,
Guiding the wavering footsteps,
Metamorphosing them into a waltz gentle.
Alas! What melancholy it is, to suddenly be
Sore-browed by the twitching wakefulness,
And with a ginger-hot unease to realise
That this vignette erases to nothingness...

Smithereens of the Self

Slumbering dreams slid across
groves and brooks past,
smithereens of the self
stumbled over graves of words
that lay decaying, stinking.
Amidst the circling vultures,
they stole the onward way,
brooding thoughts following
the wandering wayfarer,
and his forlorn, empty shadow.

Untitled

Romance.
The thunders ecstasise
the lightning blues.
Wet.
Thoughts bleed
in the thorns of the rain.
Trail.
The steamy steps
of the rainbow
take time to
be and beyond.
Ellipsis.

Sepian memories

 Sepian memories

Memories lie archived in the closets of the mind,
yesterday I ransacked them for one
and found in plenty - parchments
of nostalgia, yellowed by the brushes of time,
torn at the margin, effaced at a finger touch,
plain, flooded with labels of obliteration.
Blithe desires nested in those cozy couches,
slithered as reminders to a forgotten past.

 Today I grayscale photos modern,
gift them that favoured, distorted antiquity,
but none of them parallel
these sepian memories time has grayscaled,
lying tightly hugged
in the corner of the realm of my psyche,
gold, red and aflame..

The Light of the Cross

The Light of the Cross

The journey began when I knew not
That I was.
Cradling me in my mother's womb,
Thy light led me through then.
Hazy ways sperse before me,
Many a snowflake misleading.
Mazes winding and unwinding,
Unseen ditches all over strewn.
Did I, for once,
Cling to latches of fear?
Nay!
I looked to Thy Cross,
And Thine eyes shone upon me.
Thine mighty palms held
My fingers feeble. The Light of The Cross
Assured me of Thy Promise.
Flames of the Eternal shelter
Lit deserts of darkness.
Great still, is Thy protection!
Thine neverblinking eyes
Over me, a sleepless watch keep.
And so with the Psalmist
Aloud proclaim do I-
Thy Word
Is a lamp unto my feet,
And a light unto my path,
Forever and evermore!

Soft Goodbye

Soft Goodbye - Celtic Woman

When the light begins to fade,
And shadows fall across the sea,
One bright star in the evening sky,
Your love's light leads me on my way.

...There's a dream that will not sleep,
A burning hope that will not die.
So I must go now with the wind,
And leave you waiting on the tide.

Time to fly, time to touch the sky.
One voice alone - a haunting cry.
One song, one star burning bright,
Let it carry me through darkest night.

Rain comes over the grey hills,
And on the air, a soft goodbye.
Hear the song that I sing to you,
When the time has come to fly.

When I leave and take the wing,
And find the land that fate will bring,
The brightest star in the evening sky,
(Is your love far from me)
Is your love waiting far for me.

(oh) Is your love waiting far from me....

The Chessboard

I love being moved by God on my life's chessboard: understanding how wise and careful a player He is in making His beautiful moves, leading my side of the game to a yet unseen but very very certain victory!!! :-)
